2008. A bleary winter evening.

Crowded into a drafty bar in Harvard Square, a collection of Boston Social Media folks sampled cheer while trading presents - Yankee Swap style.

We're doing it again! - This year it's NogUp2.

Going to have it at the Asgard - thinking about parking for out-of-town guests.

But it's similar in scope. Low-key, casual and fun. Just come by when you can to raise a cup of cheer and wish others good luck in the year ahead.

EVERYONE is welcome...this event is about the people coming to Nog it up.

Tis the season for giving, so we DO have a charity. Participate as you want or not. This year Alicia Staley has asked that the NogUp be focused on giving to a local group - Room to Grow.

This group is national, but has chapters in many cities including Boston. What they're looking for is baby things for children in poverty and Alicia has asked that we collect BABY BOOKS and BOOKSTORE GIFT CARDS.
